Moyock Public Library

History

The Moyock Public Library opened it doors on October 28, 2009 after a ten year campaign by the residents of Moyock to bring library service back to their community. The building contains 7,800 sq. ft. with 6,800 dedicated to library services and 1,000 sq. ft. occupied by the Currituck County Arts Council gallery.

Collection

The Moyock Public Library holds a popular reading collection for adults, teens and children. The collection also consists of:

  • a collection of parenting books
  • a CD and Playaway audiobook collection
  • DVDs for educational and entertainment purposes
  • newspapers
  • large print books

  • The Moyock library has a meeting room with a seating capacity of 45.
  • There is a kitchen adjacent to the meeting room.
  • The meeting room is available, weekdays, evenings and weekends by reservation.
