Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County

Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County, Inc  is a private, non-profit organization designed to provide programs and services for the children and families in Dare County. This organization offers direct services to families, children and the child care community, and also works with existing community agencies to collaborate and advocate for children’s needs. CYP’s programs include technical assistance and professional development opportunities to the child care providers in the Dare County community, assistance to parents in locating quality child care as well as funds to help pay for child care, parent education and support services, and promotion of literacy and kindergarten readiness for young children. Food for Thought Program

ICAN of the Outer Banks

The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC). ICAN offers mother-to-mother support through monthly meetings at the Kill Devil Hills Library. KelsKids offers services which enable diagnosed disabled people of the world to gain a sense of freedom through our aquatic programs. We teach one on one as well as small groups (maximum of 2/group). Increased aquatic ability and global development is enhanced through the various activities and unique teaching techniques that KelsKids instructors provide with every lesson.
